Groove SDR wins Tenbound’s BEAST Award for Best Sales Development Rep of the Year!
Recognizing excellence in Sales Development, winners of Tenbound’s annual BEAST Awards are determined by votes from the Sales Development community in the lead up to Tenbound’s annual conference that took place on Aug 17. The award was announced during this year’s event with a record number of votes cast.
“Ellie is a rockstar – plain and simple, “ said her boss, Patrick Jeter, Head of Sales Development at Groove. “Her ability to personalize communication to prospects is what sets her apart – and she is consistently lauded by sales and operations leaders as a result of it. Ellie’s combination of professionalism, intelligence, and empathy makes it no surprise that she is 2020’s BEAST Award winner. Keep an eye on her career, as she will no doubt continue her success in future roles, as well!”
“This is the single best prospecting email I have ever received. Scrolling through over 800 emails and this absolutely caught my eye. Well done (brought back some great memories).”
“Ellie, I get 10 notes like this a day. Creative approach, So I am responding…”
“Wow. You just earned yourself a meeting.”
It’s clear that she’s doing something right, but what’s Ellie’s secret sauce for cutting through the noise? We asked Ellie, and this is what she had to say:
Ellie’s 3 Pro Tips for Achieving SDR Excellence
Think outside the box and be creative! Make it your goal to personalize an email in a way that a prospect has never seen before! Use quotes, nostalgia, videos…the worst thing that can happen is they said “no.”
Don’t take those no’s so seriously. Remember, nothing is personal, and everything is temporary.
Compete with your own best self. Don’t be distracted or discouraged by what others are doing around you; compete with your best self. Success starts with mindset!
Ellie’s mix of motivation, perseverance, and creativity helps her establish genuine connections with prospects. At the same time, she also relies on a powerful mix of sales technologies to streamline her process and help her be as relevant and efficient as possible. Her tech stack includes Gmail, Vidyard, Salesforce, and, of course, Groove.
It can take many attempts to get to a “yes,” and Ellie uses Groove’s sales engagement platform to scale her prospecting with personalized Flows that she can manage right from her Gmail.
